While the poorest 50% of humanity emits less than half over an entire year. The inequality is absolutely absurd. Therefore 3️⃣It's time to eat...sorry, tax the rich 4️⃣ We can start with the fossil fuel companies that raked in record-breaking profits last year, exacerbating inequality while fuelling climate collapse. They are using the crisis in Ukraine as an opportunity to take from your wallet – and line shareholder pockets. Where are the excess profits going? They've begun investing in more climate-destroying fossil fuel projects while SCALING BACK plans for green energy investments. It's important not to forget who ultimately made these record-setting profits possible: the millions of people who are paying extra for just about all goods and services. #Fossilflation is fuelling the cost-of-living crisis – AND the climate crisis.
